German cities can already implement the app today
Citizens get easy access to digital services with secure, verified identity

Worms, June 4, 2024 – KOBIL, the global market leader for digital identity and mobile security solutions, will integrate the EU digital identity wallet into its OneApp4All™. The highly secure SuperApp is the basis for an EU-wide digital ecosystem. German cities can now implement the app and prepare for the EU regulation on a single digital identity from 2026, which came into force on May 20.

Worms is the first German city to be in the implementation phase. Other cities will follow. KOBIL's goal is the nationwide introduction of the SuperApp, which will give citizens access to online services in their city and, in future, throughout Europe.

EU Wallet & OneApp4All™: a perfect team

The European digital identity consists of the EU wallet and a mobile application. The app is not provided centrally by the EU, but by each EU country individually. The solution for Germany can be the OneApp4All™. With the SuperApp from KOBIL, citizens can identify themselves securely online, make payments and conclude contracts. This applies to all digital services - from municipal services, banks and insurance companies to local transport, restaurants and healthcare. Cities can introduce the app quickly and cost-effectively.

Ismet Koyun, CEO and founder of KOBIL, emphasizes: “With OneApp4All™, Germany can become a pioneer in the EU. No city has to commission a lengthy, expensive app development from SAP or other providers. The solution is already there.”

Highly secure with 14 layers of protection

Patented KOBIL security technologies secure digital interactions with 14 layers of protection. Digital identity is therefore always secure, communication is encrypted and payment transactions and all data are protected. The app complies with all EU data protection regulations. Users have control over which data is passed on for identification purposes.

“It's high time that digital identity was introduced. But it is not mandatory. It must therefore be very easy to use and highly secure for citizens to accept it,” continues Ismet Koyun.

Easy to use

The OneApp4All™ is easy and convenient to use. After one-time authentication, users can use secure and verified services, including payment functions, without having to leave the app. These include, among others:

  • Administrative services
  • Banking, insurance and healthcare services
  • Shopping, local transport, tickets, restaurants, delivery services
  • Travel and education services
