New Application Security Technology enables new secure mobile services for banks and industry
Worms / Paris, 29. October 2012. KOBIL Systems will present the innovative and modular ‘Application Security Technology’ (AST) platform-technology at the Cartes Trade Show in Paris from the 6th – 8th November. The solution is available for all platforms and devices and opens new fields of application to banks outside of classic online banking, such as mobile payment, secure messaging as well as mobile-commerce services. KOBIL AST makes secure communication, cloud and ‘Bring your own device’ (BYOD) available to the industry, regardless of the operating system.
With AST, KOBIL allows banks to offer services that are currently offered solely by non-banks. With an ID, the customer can legitimise through AST on any device. AST, via the Bank 2015-Concept from KOBIL, enables additional modular services to be gradually integrated into IT. Banks can therefore, for example, offer mobile payment, secure interactive communication with customers or even an online document management system. KOBIL AST reduces the costs of text messages as a second secure channel is made available over the internet. Here, AST builds upon KOBIL’s mIDentity technology. Unlike traditional mobile device management solutions, KOBIL AST enables the industry to make Bring-your-own-device (BYOD) available quickly and cheaply. In addition, Cloud-services, or secure communication between employees or partners and customers can be implemented with AST, because the new mID AST software technology is modularly designed.
