To ensure all necessary security and data protection in its business, Siemens had been using several self-developed trust centers as part of its employees’ login process – but it recognized they could be improved.
To bolster its security and improve the status of the digital certificates issued by its certificate authorities (CAs), Siemens chose to introduce Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP).
Siemens assessed a wide market and several OCSP servers before choosing to introduce KOBIL Trust OCSP into its everyday operations.

The server is now fully operational, accelerating secure employee and device logins across the company’s international workforce.
KOBIL Trust OCSP has enabled Siemens AG to implement secure PC workstation logins for approximately 340,000 employees. All data and communication generated by each employee is securely encrypted.
Furthermore, employees are able to login faster than ever. KOBIL Trust OCSP provides real-time validation checks on key certificates, so productivity has increased through the elimination of the previous waiting time.
