KOBIL mIDentity is the world’s most secure mobile data storage device. For mIDentity, “who,” “where,” or “when” are not an issue. Data on mIDentity will always be safe. mIDentity is based on a smartcard, applies 256 bit AES hardware encryption, and is controlled by an intelligent remote management system. On the hardware side, data protection relies on a true smartcard and transparent AES memory encryption. For data access, the user has to enter his or her smartcard PIN. Through remote management including DLP and Policy management, the use cases for the data can be clearly defined. Once stored in mIDentity, the remote management takes over the document life cycle control. Documents can be prevented against file copy, using cut-and-paste, printing, or backing up data on another devices or flash disks, as well as many other restriction criteria. Server side definition of restriction profiles and automated storage on the mIDentity offers secure and easy administration.

Secure Cloud Computing can be utilized using KOBIL mIDentity to grant users maximum  mobility and storage space. Data stored on mIDentity can be transparently backed up to the cloud. Stored data and data backup are always automatically encrypted by mIDentity and can only be accessed using mIDentity.
